Warri Wolves defender, Azubuike Egwueke has assured Nigerians that the Super Eagles will take the international friendly game against South Africa serious.

The Nigeria Football Federation have scheduled two friendly games for the nation’s senior national team, first against Bolivia on the 26th and the second against South Africa on the 29th, the first after the Shakes Mashaba side denied the Eagles an opportunity to feature at the 2015 African Cup of Nations won by Ivory Coast.

South Africa came into the picture after it became impossible to feature the Black Stars of Ghana in London due to FIFA regulations, but the game against Bolivia  will be played in Uyo.

“It’s good for us and we are going to take it serious because the match is going to help us build ourselves and I hope that we come out victorious that day” he told footballlive.ng.

It’s still not clear who will lead the Super Eagles from the dugout during the games but it is expected that the federation would have sorted the lingering contract issues with coach Stephen Keshi. footballlive

The NFF and Keshi's representatives met last week to see where reconciliations could be reached for football in the country to move forward at the senior national level.
