Real reduce Barcelona's points to 2 with victory over Celta Vigo

Real Madrid have continued to mount pressure on the Spanish league leaders, Barcelona as they claimed a 4-2 away victory at Celta Vigo on Sunday evening.

The Carlo Ancelotti's men are trailing Barcelona with 2 points since they relinquished their leadership position before the 2nd leg of this season el classico at the Camp Nou on March 22nd.

Nolito gave the home team the lead in the 9th minute of the game but was cancelled by Toni Kroos' goal 7 minutes after.

The absence of Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema made coach Carlo Ancelotti look to Javier Hernandez, the Mexican forward who shot the Galacticos to the UEFA champions league semi finals on Wednesday.

Chicharito doubled Madrid's lead in the 24th minute with an assist from Colombian James Rodriguez, who also returned to full time action a few weeks ago. 

Again, the host leveled on the 28th minutes of the game through Santi Mina but the 2014 world cup golden boot winner put the 10-time champions league winners up in the 43rd minute as they head to the tunnel for the half time.

When the second half got underway, both teams struggled to score but none came until Hernandez gave Real a security goal and further put Celta in their place for the evening.

Top scorer, Cristiano Ronaldo couldn't find the net as he's on the way to clinching the Spanish league highest goal scorer, toping with 39 goals, and closely followed by Lionel Messi with 36, and Atletico's Anton Griezmann has 22.

Barcelona will be in action during the week as the host Getafe while Real Madrid will welcome Almeria.
