Read Wenger and Van Gaal's reactions after the game

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger:
"It was very important to not let Man Utd get in front of us, even with a game in hand, and mentally it was a very important result for us. In the second half I think it was all us and I think we have shown a great response. We had the chances to win it."

Here's Louis van Gaal on David de Gea's future:
"De Gea shall not leave us so easily because we have a great club and he wants to participate – but of course he is Spanish and his girlfriend is Spanish and he can go to a great club."

"I have said in advance that Arsenal has maybe the best team but Chelsea can finish a game. It is very important to finish the game. This season I think we have finished only two games. It is a pity because in spite of a lot of injuries again, for one hour we were better."

Here's Theo Walcott on Arsenal's equaliser:
"You have got to take every one you get. It was an important goal and I will take it! In patches we did not play great but in the last 20 minutes we were very strong and we showed how fit we are as a team. We just need one more point with goal difference and this feels a like a win for us today."

Midfielder Aaron Ramsey, who helped create Arsenal's equaliser:
"This is always a difficult place to come and it turned out to be in the first half, but we improved and we maybe could have won it at the end. I think maybe the loss to Swansea was in the back of our minds. We feel quite confident about finishing third now."

Man Utd midfielder Ander Herrera:
"I have to keep improving because I want to be as good as possible. I knew in advance it wasn't going to be an easy season, but I am happy with my development and I am looking forward to next season. I want to be champions with this club."
