Stephen Keshi's Return to Super Eagles Excites John Ogu

Super Eagles midfielder, John Ogu has said that he was happy Stephen Keshi was rehired to handle the nation's senior national team as the 2013 AFCON champions prepare to kick off their 2017 qualifiers campaign.

The Super Eagles gaffer, who invited 26 players from the domestic league will open camp for the invited players this week ahead of next month’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with both Chad and Tanzania respectively.

“Thank God for the manager that we have in the national team now; I think we will just play our game then we’ll see because in football anything can happen. You don’t write off any team” he told footballlive.ng.

Ogu, who plays in Israel topflight insists that the teams in the group should not be overlooked but equally noted that the Eagles will fight to represent the country well.

“The teams in our groups are not to be overlooked because they have quality but we’ll give our best to represent our nation well” he concluded. footballlive
