Turkish giant, Fenerbache have sent Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike on loan to Al Ain of UAE on a season-long loan deal after he was offered a one year contract extension by the European side.

The Nigerian international will replace his Ghanaian counterpart, Asamoah Gyan, who has moved to China after playing at the club for for years.

The 28-year old power striker revealed that playing at Fenerbache was a great honour, adding that he will never forget his time at the club.

"Emmanuel (Emenike) has agreed a loan move to Al Ain of UAE. That is Asamoah Gyan's club," he told AfricanFootball.com

“Being a Fenerbahce player is something I will cherish for the rest of my career. Now, I have to move because I need a new challenge in my career and leaving now is the best decision taken,” he told AfricanFootball.com

“I am using this moment to express my gratitude to the club Fenerbahce and everybody who believes in me in one way or the other. Fenerbahce is a great club and I wish them all the best in the new season.”

Emenike will be a direct replacement for Ghana skipper Asamoah Gyan, who is on his way to China.

He continued: “I am happy to make the move to Al Ain and I believe my legs will prove me right in UAE.

“I am looking forward to new challenge in UAE, as well as to get more playing time under my belt and score many goals. For every striker, it is important to score goals and I am already looking forward to that challenge.

“I believe it is the best decision for me, to face a new challenge and as well as to prove I can score goals anywhere I find myself.

“I have not lost anything in my scoring ways.  Nothing has changed in me, my scoring ability is very much intact and with time, I will be able to light up UAE with goals.”

He will join his new club on Thursday.
This finally puts to rest speculations where the former Karabukspor striker will play when the new season kicks off.

Emenike' was unable to help his side retain the title they won the previous season, after losing the Turkish title to their arch-rivals, Galatasaray and his performance linked with several clubs including Tottenham Hotspur, Spartak Moscow, Dynamo Moscow as well as several clubs in UAE and Qatar.
