Nigeria's Kelechi Iheanacho Admits Tottenham's Game Will Be Tough

Super Eagles' Kelechi Iheanacho has insisted that Manchester City will treat this Sunday’s EPL fixture against second-placed Tottenham Hotspur like a final.

The Manuel Pellegrini's side were beaten 3-1 at home by the current league leaders, Leicester City last
weekend, and they will be hoping to get back to winning ways against the White Hart Lane side.

The 19-year-old forward admitted that their next opponent have got quality players, but said City will fight till the end of the game.

City have been hit by injuries to five top attacking players - Wilfried Bony, David Silva, Samir Nasri, Kevin de Bruyne, and Jesus Navas.

“We have to treat it like a cup final and give everything we have in the game,” Iheanacho told Sky Sports News.

“They have quality players and are second in the league so we have to fight them right to the final whistle.”

City have slipped to fourth after last week's stunning home defeat by Leicester and badly need to beat Spurs to thrust themselves back into the title race, especially as leaders Leicester go to third-placed Arsenal on the same day.

“Everyone is sad that we lost last week and we have to put that behind us and move on,” said Iheanacho. “History was made that day but it's not in our mind.”
