Alex Iwobi To Return From Injury After International Break- Arsene Wenger

Arsenal FC Manager, Arsene Wenger, has hinted that Alex Iwobi might not be back from Injury until after the international break- which means that he won't be available for new Super Eagles boss, Gernot Rohr when he makes his final team for Tanzania clash.

Nigeria crashed out of the 2017 edition of AFCON after losing to Egypt at home but will face the Taifa Stars next month in the last group game to fulfill all righteousness.

Wenger said the 20-year old suffered a thigh injury in their 4-3 defeat to Liverpool in the Premier League opening game last weekend.

"I think he will be out until after the international break but we feared worse - for Iwobi especially," Wenger revealed when asked about Iwobi’s injury concerns.

"It is a thigh problem for Iwobi. It is better news than we feared at the start," he added.

Iwobi, who enjoyed a good season with the Gunners last season has also established himself as a regular in the Super Eagles team, and would have been included in Samson Siasia's Olympics team but for poor arrangement by the nation's FA.
