Warri Wolves shotstopper, Dele Ajiboye, has expressed confidence in his side after picking one point in their Nigeria Professional Football league match day 31 fixture against MFM FC on Wednesday.
The Seasiders drew the first blood in the 54th minute through Obinna Eleje's long range strike, but was cancelled by Isah Akor's 75th minute header as the two sides shared spoils at the end of the game.
The former Nigerian U17, 20 and 23 goalkeeper said the away point will boost their confidence as they go into their next game against FC IfeanyiUbah, which displaced Enugu Rangers 2-0 easily in Nnewi.
"Our next match is against FC IfeanyiUbah, and all we need to do is go back home, buckle up and add one or two things to our performance here to gain our points."
Why not, because if you play match in your home ground is different from an away game, so everyone has their own technique and by God's grace, we will beat them." Ajiboye told tomiwababalola.com
The 26-year old former Wikki Tourists goalkeeper further explained that they picked one point against MFM because his side were determined despite skipping training for five days owing to the management's inability to clear their salaries.
He also informed us that the management of the team has promised to fulfill their promise by paying their salaries in the next two weeks as they said.
"There's one thing about football, when determine to do something, definitely you will do it, and then you will have to call on the Almighty God also to help you. Also, the training we've had coupled with light ones on game day will definitely get you ready for the task of the day."
When we had meeting with the management, they promised to pay us in the next two weeks, and so we are waiting on them to fulfill their promise, and lets not also forget that it is not easy on their part also. We also thought that abandoning the game would attract a fine for the club, so we just considered all these factors and came for the game."
