Enugu Rangers Will Surprise Doubters- Imama Amapakabo

Enugu Rangers have returned to the summit of the Nigeria Professional Football league log after picking a point against Enyimba on Sunday and the coach of the side, Imama Amapakabo, has insisted that the Flying Antelopes will brake the 32-year jinx without a league title.

The Super Eagles assistant coach, who led his side to share points with Enyimba over the weekend

said that he understood that people didn't give them chance at the start of the season, but added that they will be surprised.

Rangers are the current NPFL leaders after playing a 1-1 draw away at Enyimba on Sunday, and Amapakabo insists they will remain the top team come the end of the season.

"Nobody gave us a chance [to be where we are] at the beginning of the season," Amapakabo told Supersport

"However, I have never been under pressure."

"Fans of Rangers International have waited 32 years [for the league title to return to Enugu]."

"At this stage of the season, we are so close to our target and cannot say it cannot happen."

"We have a new hashtag which is to believe. We believe we will win the title."

 Rangers' next game is against MFM FC at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on August 7.
