The new Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, has included 18-year old Victor Osimhen in his 23-man squad for the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Tanzania next month.
The German-born tactician was hired this month with the task of qualifying Nigeria for the 2018 world cup in Russia, haven't been drawn along with Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia in Group B.
The game against the Taifa Stars is inconsequential as far as Gabon 2017 is concerned, but the coach will use that opportunity to assess the invited players ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying series Matchday 1 clash with Zambia in Ndola in October.
Rohr, who played as a defender during his active days paid more attention to defence and attack while the midfield section just four players from the 23-man list.
All the players have been directed to report in Uyo on Sunday, 28th August 2016.
