Samson Siasia and his U23 team can breathe a sigh of relief after the Nigeria Football President, Amaju Pinnick, said that the federation is set to offshoot the salaries of the Dream Team VI technical crew.
Pinnick said in a youtube interview according to AfricanFootball that he has ordered the federation to
disburse a sum of $60,000 grant from CAF to take care of the coaches' salaries.
The former Flying Eagles coach has earlier before the Olympics lamented the poor treatment he's been getting from the NFF, who are his direct employers and the Sports Ministry, who are meant to take care of his bills in brazil.
"I have directed the secretariat that the $60,000 we received from CAF be used immediately to pay the U23 team coaches," Pinnick revealed on a YouTube interview.
"Use this money to pay them and we are in the process of paying them."
"The NFF boss admitted the federation is “financially challenged."
He said the past NFF administration led by Aminu Maigari left his board with "an obscene amount of debts."
