Bright Ejike Reveals He Wants To Help Heartland Qualify For Caf Championship

Heartland Fc forward, Bright Ejike has disclosed that his main target this season is to help his side earn a place on the continent while he emerge the highest goal scorer in the process.

The former Flying Eagles forward has scored 11 goals this season and currently ranks top scorer with with Sunshine’s Tunde Adeniji.

He however said that he won’t be derailed from achieving his set goals as he would redouble his efforts when the second stanza of the NPFL resumes.

“I am happy with my performance in the first stanza and I am hoping to better it this second stanza.  I know it won’t be easy because the league is getting more competitive,” Ejike told Goal.

“I am confident that we will find a way of returning Heartland to the continent and also to ensure that I emerge as the highest scorer.

“What we are left with is the league after the shocking way we were eliminated from the Federation Cup.

“We have decided to put our ouster from that competition behind us and we are focusing all our spleen on achieving our objective via the league.”

The Naze Millionaires are fifth on the league table with 32 points from 19 games behind Sunshine Stars, Enyimba, Wikki Tourists and Warri Wolves. Goal
