The Nigerian U-16 Men's national team have left Nigeria for Mali ahead of the 2015 FIBA Africa U-16 Championship on Wednesday.
The coach Tari Preh Oruama-led boys ably assisted by 2 time Dstv Premier Basketball league champion with the Royal Hoopers of Port Harcourt, Ogoh Odaudu jetted out via Asky Air.
Oruama, before leaving the shores of Nigeria ensured that his players go through MRI scan to avoid the problem encountered by their female counterparts at the 2015 FIBA Women's championship in Madagascar.
Meanwhile the Nigeria Basketball Federation have mandated the Nigerian contingent to give their all and possibly return with the trophy at the end of the tournament.
He however explained that the ultimate goal is to bring Nigeria back to the landscape of men's developmental basketball in Africa.
The players on the roster include German Onoriode Simeon, Opia John Paul , Ajadi Ibrahim , Chukwuneme Ikem Nwigwe , Oriakhi Owen, Kure Dada Wilson and Eboka Ifeayin Uzoma.
Others are Adeloye Adegoriola Adewunmi, Banire Farouq Atanda , Ibrahim Basit Olajuwon , Abdulmalik Abubakar Omeiza and Ishau Abiola Olamilekan .
