Stephen Curry has disclosed that he won't be at the 2016 Rio Olympics games this summer, saying he will use that period to gain full fitness ahead of the next basketball season.
The NBA's most valuable player, who helped the Golden State Warriors brake Chicago Bulls 1995/96
record of 72 victories in a season, has also broken individual records in helping Golden State reach the NBA Finals.
The point guard says injuries picked up in the season contributed to his decision on Monday.
"My primary basketball-related objective this summer needs to focus on my body and getting ready for the 2016-17 NBA season," he said.
