Abdul Makaiba Declares War On Abia Warriors

Wikki Tourist coach, Abdul Maikaba, has tagged his side's Nigeria Professional Football league game against sloppy Abia Warriors this weekend a must win, adding that they can't afford to drop anymore points at this stage of the league.

Both teams have managed a win a piece in their last five games, but Wikki are better drawing three and losing just one out of their last games, while Abia lost four.

The Tourists will be hoping to regain the NPFL top position back after surrendering the top spot following their 1-1 draw against Niger Tornadoes at the Confluence Stadium last weekend which leaves Wikki Tourist in second position with 44 points after 26 games behind Enugu Rangers who hold a two-point lead.

Wikki will be looking to return to winning ways when they host Abia Warriors at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

"We need to win the game against Abia Warriors. That is our target," the coach told Goal.

"This is the time for us to show the stuff in us and stand to be counted as a championship winning side.

"The boys aren't under pressure to perform. I prefer talking about us.  For us to win the trophy it will depend on how we perform in our last 10 games of the season."

"We are still not out of the race and we are going to continue fighting," he added.
