MFM head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, has insisted that his side will continue to work hard to finish the Nigeria Professional Football League on a good note.
Ilechukwu led his Olukoya Boys to a massive 2-0 victory over Heartland FC at the Agege stadium on Sunday, with Stephen Odey and Ifeanyi Ifeanyi scoring the two goals.
MFM began their three-game behind closed door against the Naze Millionaire, following their fans outburst in their only home loss so far this season against Shooting Stars, after they were granted a waiver in previous weekend's Lagos Derby, which they won 3-1
Heartland got a chance to lead via a spot kick, but James Aiyeyemi denied the visitors the chance, and shortly after, the home team got their own penalty, which Ifeanyi Ifeanyi alsmot threw away but for a rebound which he buried and put his team in front.
The church boys got two more penalties but lost one in the process while Stephen Odey converted the his side's third penalty to ensure 2-0 victory over the visitors on match day 27 to move ninth on the NPFL log with 36 points.
"We worked hard for where we are now and we shall continue to give our best each week to make sure that we finish as high as we can at the end of the season," Ilechukwu told Goal.
"We may be missing a couple of our players who deservedly were invited to the national U23 team and the NPFL All Stars team, each time they come back to the team I've observed that they are a bit cautious in the way they play so as not pick injury but the beauty in the team is that there other players in the team who can step up when it matters."
Ilechukwu vows to approach his ten remaining games with intention to win adding that he cannot but acknowledge God in all their games in the past.
"We go into every game with an intent to win and that's what has always helped us. God's grace, no doubt has been massive in our performance and we shall continue with these positives till the end."
