Bafana Bafana head coach, Ephraim ‘Shakes’ Mashaba has blamed the problems in Nigerian football on unstable management.
The Super Eagles were forced to a 1-1 draw by the Mashaba-men on Sunday, which makes it the third time the South Africans under their current coalch would hold Nigeria to a stalemate- twice in the African Cup of Nations qualifies and the third one in a friendly game.
The manager said that stability may have hampered the team’s progress in recent times after the team regrouped only for the first time last weekend since the end of FIFA World Cup in Brazil last year.
Nigeria had lost at the Akwa Ibom international stadium, Uyo on the 25th of March before jetting out to be held in South Africa 1-1.
“I think it’s still the same Nigerian team and we still played the same team with commitment and all that from the players but they need a stable organization” the experienced tactician told footballlive
“Team organization, team management, technical staffs and everybody should be focused on playing rather than in other things that are not important” Mashaba concluded.
Feelers from the football federation are that the coaching situation of the team would be sorted out after the Easter break when hopefully, Stephen Keshi signs on the dotted lines of the contract he has been offered by the Amaju Pinnick led NFF board.
