Abia Warriors Confirm Kennedy Boboye's Resignation

Nigeria Professional Football League side, Abia Warriors, have confirmed that coach Kennedy Boboye has quit the club.

The Umuahia based club posted on their website it has accepted the former Sunshine Stars gaffer resignation after the last weekend's goalless draw with visiting Akwa United last Saturday in Umuahia just after eight months in charge.

Boboye after joining the Warriors at the beginning of this season won the manager of the month after

an impressive performance with the club, going 10 matches unbeaten from the beginning of the season.

Abia Warriors form deemed after losing some top performers to injury, coupled with the sale of Chisom Chikatara to Wydad Casablanca.

Boboye said in the letter he sent to the club chairman, Emeka Inyama he left the club because he could not meet the target he set for himself at the beginning of the season and thanked the club for giving him the opportunity to serve.

"I thank the club for giving me the opportunity to serve and I wish them well in their future endeavours." said the former Sunshine Stars of Akure Coach.
