Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong has said that the Nigerian U23 national team has focused on winning the Rio Olympic Games bronze medal when they clash against Honduras in the 3rd place match on Saturday.
The 22-year old central defender, who has been fantastic for the coach Samson Siasia-led team in the 2016 edition of the games in Brazil, but said they were just unfortunate with the defeat, adding that
they missed the services of Oghenekaro Etebo and Okechukwu Azubuike in their 2-0 defeat to Germany on Wednesday night at the Arena Corinthians, São Paulo in Brazil.
The Team had earlier promised to repeat the feat the Bonfere Jo-led team achieved in Atlanta in 1996, when they won gold medal in the men's football event, but their hopes were dashed by the Germans who were more organised and calculated in that game
